The Flight of Life is a beautiful display of artwork created by well known provincial artist Dawn Baker. Together with our artist we have attempted to capture some of the beauty of our region and to make the murals unique for our region and our donors.

These beautiful displays at our Health Centres provide a unique way to celebrate the lives of the special people around us. It also generates revenue which will be reinvested in health programs and services for the benefit of patients, residents and clients receiving care with Central Health.

The Flight of Life is not a memorial display. It is a program which focuses on celebrating life and the remarkable people who have changed our lives in some way. So whether someone has had a new baby, is celebrating an anniversary, is graduating from high school, is turning 80 years old…or someone has passed away, the Flight of Life provides a wonderful way to celebrate the life of this amazing person.

The Flight of Life display features beautiful engraved butterflies, each one representing a special person. These unique engraved butterflies provide our supporters with a positive way to display the name of someone important to them, while at the same time generating revenue to be used to support healthcare programs and services.

Personalized butterflies can be ordered at any time throughout the year and the murals are updated with the new orders approximately every four months.

Grand Falls-Windsor residents Sheila and Mike Goodyear, unveiled the Flight of Life Mural that they sponsored at the Central Newfoundland Tegional Health Centre in January 2008. They dedicated the display in celebration of their two children, Amanda and Stephanie.
